Effective August 2026. OmniShield is built so Free and Pro do not need your chat content.
Who we are
OmniShield (“we”, “us”) provides a browser extension and related websites that help mask secrets and personal data before they are sent to supported AI chat services.
Summary
Free and Pro process prompts on your device. We do not sell your chat content. If you purchase Pro, we (and our payment partner) process license and purchase information so we can deliver your key.
Information we may process
- License data (Pro): license keys, install identifiers, activation timestamps, and subscription status.
- Purchase data: email and billing details collected by our payment partner (e.g. Lemon Squeezy) when you buy Pro.
- Communications: emails you send to sales or support.
- Website logs: standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, and pages requested, provided by our hosting provider.
What we do not collect on Free / Pro
Message contents from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Cursor, or other supported sites are not uploaded to OmniShield as part of Free or Pro masking. Detection and replacement run locally in the extension.
Enterprise deployments
Organizations using the enterprise product may configure telemetry and policy sync to their Admin Command Center. That data is governed by the customer's deployment and agreement. See Security.
Cookies and analytics
Our marketing site may use essential cookies required to operate the service. If we enable optional analytics, we will update this policy and provide choices where required by law.
Retention
We retain license and support records as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of account-related data subject to legal retention needs.
Your choices
You can uninstall the extension at any time. For Pro license or data requests, contact support@omnishield.com.
